Anthony C. Beilenson Park (Formerly Balboa Park) Is An 80-Acre Park Within The 2,097-Acre Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area. The Centerpiece Of Beilenson Park Is 27-Acre Lake Balboa, An Amoeba-Shaped, Manmade Lake. The Popular Lake Has A 1.3-Mile Walking Path That Circles The Perimeter.

Turn Right Into The Park And Go 0.4 Miles To The Parking Lot On The Left. Parking Is Also Available Along The Road In Dirt Pullouts.
The Hike
Walk To The Shore Of Lake Balboa And The Lake Balboa Hiking Trail. Follow The Paved Path To The Right Along The Edge Of The Lake, Walking Counter-Clockwise. Cross A Bridge Over The Lake’S Outlet Stream, And Pass The Boat Dock And Boat Access Ramp. Continue Up The Lake’S East Shore While Marveling At The Vast Variety Of Birds. On The North Shore, Pass A Beautiful Manmade Cascade. Curve South To Views Across The Length Of Lake Balboa. Complete The Loop At The South End Of The Lake. I
