Spanish conductor and composer Guillermo S. de Roxlo founded the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra in 1932. Over the years, it has evolved into one of the most well-respected arts organizations in the Southeast. Under the direction of Christopher Warren-Green, CSO puts on 100 performances each session and has an annual attendance of over 250,000. The orchestra performs around Charlotte but its principal performance space is the Belk Theater in the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center.
