The Balkan Peninsula is one of the most diverse regions in Europe and is located between the adriatic, the aegean and the black sea. With this post we start our Balkan Roadtrip at the bulgarian black sea: the historical cities of Sozopol and Nessebar. and the coastline north of Varna are our first stop on this trip! Sozopol is located in the south of the bay of Burgas Not only is this city one of the oldest in the country it’s also very stunning.

We could find good photo opportunities almost everywhere. With the boat we went over to the northern part of the bay to Nessebar. Due to it’s location on a rocky Peninsula and it’s historical buildings the old town is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. We continue our trip by traveling to Varna in the north. Beside the beaches in and around Varna as well as the green botanical gardens. the coastline in the north is highly recommended!
Our Highlight: the white Thracian Cliffs! At the Golf Resort we used the chance to make our next career move as PGA Pro’s. well. almost 😉 What’s the best about playing golf? Driving the Golf Karts! and. who would have known? The beach is also a famous event location for electro parties! 🙂 Stay tuned in the next post we continue to the capital of Macedonia, Skopje!
