You then climb again, shortly reaching the other ‘road Brisbane Map end’ at Chantry Post on Sullington Hill. Chantry Post is exactly that – a finger signpost Brisbane Map that in recent years has suffered damage but it is to be hoped that when you visit the post will once again bear all its fingers. There are tremendous views here, both north and south. A detour down the road will take you to Storrington, although it is an unexciting little town, and unless you need the amenities a town can provide, it is perhaps better to wait until Washington for refreshment. You continue on along the southern slopes of Sullington Hill, getting good views to the tiny village of Sullington and its very small Saxon church. Not half a mile beyond Chantry Post is a fork of paths.
