Shops Shops are usually open seven days a week from 9am to 7pm, although many open as early as 8am and close between 6 and 7pm or as late as 8pm. They only remain closed on official holidays (see Festivals and Public Holidays) such as National Day (October 1st) and the Chinese New Year (late January/early February).
