You all know Radio Shack. Well, their latest development is to designate one branch in each major city as a combination of regular store and clearance center. Piled up on tables at the rear is a wide range of leftover and slightly damaged merchandise for those of you who consider this chain as more than a place to get those little adapter thingies. You may find deals on stereo speakers, tape decks for your car, answering machines, and an assortment of cute electronic toys. Open from 10 A.M. to
9 PM. on weekdays, 9-6 on Saturdays, and 12-5 on Sundays.

On the lower level of this large store near Downtown Crossing, Sherman’s displays a wide range of electronics and photo equipment. Televisions and VCRs, cassette decks, receivers and
speakers, boom boxes, Walkmans, and more. A recent sale featured a De-non CD player, originally priced at $300, on sale for $219; and a Panasonic cordless phone marked down from $120 to $88. Some items are factory-refurbished returns; all equipment is guaranteed.
This is also a good place to stock up on blank tape of all kinds; one or two major brands of video cassettes are usually on sale for $2.99 (even high-grade!), and they have many brands of audio cassettes at low prices too. Not to mention bargains on fax machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, and smaller home appliances irons, rechargeable razors, water filtration devices, and the like as well as luggage and home furnishings. Be sure to pick up their latest circular at the front of the store for the best deals. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays from 12-5.
