Best of Rome Walking Tour Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain

This post I’m going on the Best of Rome Walking Tour with my guide Louta, and she’s going to show us all the best sites in Rome. There are 145 steps. We’re headed to the Spanish Steps which is where Romans and tourists hang out. It’s the best place in Rome to enjoy a gelatto. One of my favorite things in Rome is there is fresh water everywhere. You can walk down the street. You can go to this fountain. Drink fresh water. It’s amazing.

We’re on Via del Babuino which means street of the baboon and it’s actually named after this statue right here. The ancient Romans thought it was so ugly they called it a baboon fountain. I love walking around Rome. On every block you’ll notice there are ruins mixed with like modern architecture. It’s absolutely stunning. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s over your right shoulder, right?

There’s a saying Rome that if you throw a coin over your shoulder into the Trevi Fountain, you’ll return to Rome. So I’m hoping this comes true. Here goes. There are about $5,000 worth of coins thrown in here every single day. We’re walking through all the alley ways. You can smell all the pasta and the just different flavors and scents. I love it. This is the Pantheon. It is so impressive. I mean I’ve seen pictures of it, but the pictures just don’t even do it justice. This is one of the best preserved temples from the Roman period. This was built in the 27 Before Christ. Thank you so much for taking us around You’re welcome. on the walking tour today. This was probably one of the best days I’ve ever had, getting to see Rome by foot.
