WONDERLAND TRAIL MAP WASHINGTON
93 miles. This beautiful and popular trail forms a large loop around 14,410-foot Mount Rainier, in Mount Rainier National Park. There’s a wide variety of scenery available along the way.
Included are alpine meadows, glaciers, and areas of old-growth forest. Difficulty varies from easy to strenuous. Food may be cached at ranger stations near the trail.
Camping Regulations: A free wilderness permit is required to camp in Mount Rainier National Park. Trailside camps or designated camping areas are spaced every few miles along the trail. These are likely to be full on Friday and Saturday nights.
Camping is also allowed elsewhere, but campsites must be at least 100 feet from water sources and one-quarter mile from the trail. Campfires are prohibited, and group size is limited to five.

CAMPING TRIPS
The Mountaineers, 300 Third Avenue West, Seattle, WA 98119. This large and well-known club offers a wide range of activities, including many backpacking trips, and also introductory backpacking classes.
Inter-Mountain Alpine Club, P.O. Box 505, Richland, WA 99352. This hiking and climbing trip sponsors some backpacking trips each year, with equipment available for rental.
