Nolen Kitchen was named for the Myers Park designer who gave the restaurant its eclectic and modern decor. It’s the sister restaurant to Ilios Noche, an Italian bistro on Providence Road, but with signature dishes like Carolina BBQ pork shank, honey lacquered salmon, and New York strip, Nolen Kitchen offers a more American-style menu. The farm-to-table restaurant features regular wine-tastings that often pair 100 percent organic wines with vegetables and meats from local farms. The real treats are the dessertslike the chocolate pistachio cakethanks to pastry chef Frank Kaltsounis.
