The Nook keeps with the Charlotte trend of good bars hidden in strip malls. It’s one of the newer bars in Plaza Midwood and has fast become a neighborhood favorite, possibly because of the events lineup: Sunday is movie night, complete with free popcorn and second-run films; Mondays is hip-hop open-mic night, and the Charlotte Comedy Theater performs on Friday and Saturday night.
