The Gallery mounts diverse exhibitions throughout the academic year and also maintains the Universitys permanent collection of art. selections of which are exhibited on a rotating basis in the space adjacent to the temporary exhibition area. Spanning the 16th century to the present. University holdings consist mainly of paintings, prints, drawings, and photography and has a strong representa-t on of religious imagery. Among the Artists represented are Jack Beal, William Blake, John Chamberlain. Chryssa, William Conger. Carlo Dolci, Jules Dupre, Gifford Dyer, Jacob Epstein, Thomas H.1I Thomas Lawrence. Gustave Loiseau, Charles Le Brun. Peter Lely Edgar Payne, Diego Rivera. Seymour Roofsky, Georges Roualt, William Schwartz. Julia Thecla, Louis Comfort Tiffany, Mark Tobey. Jules Verlet, and Gariy Winogrand.

DuSable Museum of African-American History

The Durfable Museum of African-American History is the only major independent institution in Chicago established to preserve and .nterpret the historical experiences and achievements of African-Americans. The Museums collection numbers more than

10,000 objects and includes paintings, sculpture, print works, and memorabilia. The Museum mounts approximately four exhibits per year.
