Paris Metro Map

Very soon you find yourself back at the Tourist Information Office Paris Metro Map , but hopefully you will still have ample time to enjoy Yesterday’s World. Winner of Paris Metro Map the England For Excellence 2002 Visitor Attraction Of The Year, this is a wonderful place for discovering all the colours and flavours of yesteryear, with over 30 authentic room and shop settings housed in a medieval hall house, all designed to help find out what life was really like for our nineteenth- and early-twentieth-century ancestors.

In the museum, you may navigate your way through Victorian Britain and the Edwardian era, going on into the twentieth century and culminating in the Swinging Sixties. Collections include Queen Victoria’s personal effects and nightdress, and correspondence by Queen Elizabeth II. Attractions include the 1930s country railway station, a 1950s/ 60s TV shop, a 1950s cycle shop, a country garage, a 1930s hairdresser, a Victorian fudge marquee, and, if you’re desperate, a Victorian water closet! Emerging from Yesterday’s World, you may wish to call into the adjoining nostalgic and contemporary gift shop which is attached to the museum but which costs nothing to enter. Though admission may be free, you could easily be tempted to snap up some of the many books, CDs, videos and cards that recall a bygone and, dare one say, less hectic and rather gentler age.
