Fairmont Pacific Rim is located in downtown Vancouver. One block from the vibrant waterfront area, the hotel is close to the cruise ship terminal. The Vancouver Convention Centre is across the street. An underground walkway connects the hotel to the Convention Centre. The Vancouver Convention Centre is across at&stReet. The hotel is housed in a modern, 47. The upper floors enjoy spectacular views of Coal. Fairmont has five properties in and around Vancouver.

Three hotels are located in the city center, one at the airport, and one in the ski resort of Whistler. Pacific Rim is Vancouver’s smallest Fairmont property IMHO, it’s also Vancouver’s best hotel (I did not visit yet the new Trump hotel though). A Bocci sculpture is located near the entrance. This grove of trees with 480 illuminated leaves lights the way into the lobb’. Tour of the massive lobby space. The white marble lobby features a refined, contemporary decor. Contemporary Vancouver live music is performed daily. A $225,000 USD, ivory, handcrafted Fazioli piano is the lounge’s centerpiece. These are the elevators to the guest room floors.

Vancouver’s best luxury hotel

I give a detailed tour of one of the rooms later in this post. First some more impressions of the magnificent lobby. The Fairmont Pacific Rim has a thriving art program. A self-guided podcast, over the course of 35 minutes, explores the property’s public art. This is the curator’s table, located on the hotel’s 2nd floor. The custom made round table set with Versace plates makes a dramatic impression. The Curator’s Table seats 8 people & overlooks the lobby. It’s the perfect setting for an evening dedicated to the art of conversation, fueled by great food.

Get free VIP amenities when booking this hotel via Virtuoso (e.g. upgrade, breakfast, etc …). Other travel tip: WiFi at the hotel is not complimentary. However, when you subscribe to Fairmont’s loyalty program, you will receive free internet. The room features a partial view of the harbour. Seaplanes and sailboats are some of the “traffic” that can be seen on a sunny day. An in-room iPad is loaded with a virtual concierge. You can use it for in-room dining orders, housekeeping requests, arranging transfers, etc ….
