More than 1,000 food and wine festivals are held annually across the United


The largest food festival is the 5-day Taste of Chicago, held annually in June and attended by more than 2.5 million people. The festival has an economic impact of over $100 million.

One of the grandest food festivals is the three-day Food & Wine Classic (, held in Aspen, Colorado, which celebrated its 35th year in 2016. Approximately 5,000 participants pay $1,000 or more to sample wine, attend cooking seminars, and rub elbows with celebrity chefs at the event.

The Food Network’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival ( is a four-day, star-studded destination event. Over 30,000 people attend the main events and another 20,000 attend separate, lower cost family-oriented festival events.

Vegfest, a series of annual vegetarian food festivals, are held in Boston, Detroit, Jacksonville, New York City, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and several other cities.
