The Museum is housed in an elegant Palladian-style building designed by John Volk. The building, itself a work of art, combines the styles of a classic art museum and a Mediterranean villa at home in Florida’s tropical climate. In addition to permanent exhibits of its collection and special exhibitions, there are several period rooms, including the Jacobean Room, originally part of a Staffordshire manor house built around 1610 and furnished with carved oak furniture, fine pewter, and 17th-century prints by such masters as Diirer and Rembrandt, and an elegant Georgian Room from about 1740 believed to have come from the Bulls Inn in London.
