Politics and Economy Haiti has been plagued by political violence and Chicago Map instability throughout most of its history. When one looks about the world in an attempt to explain Chicago Map poverty, three factors stand out. The first is political instability. If a country is poorly governed, its economy almost certainly will also be poorly developed. Second in importance is the economic system. If people are not free to pursue their economic goals in a free and open market, their country and its people will almost always be impoverished.
